Sirigu Women's Organisation for Pottery and Art (SWOPA) is a community-based initiative located in Sirigu, in the Upper East Region of Ghana. It is dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditional arts of pottery, basket weaving, and wall painting, which are unique to the Sirigu culture. SWOPA empowers local women by providing them with the skills and platform to showcase their craftsmanship while supporting their economic independence. The organization also serves as a cultural center where visitors can learn about Sirigu’s rich artistic heritage, participate in workshops, and purchase handmade crafts.
