The Elmina-Java Museum in Ghana is dedicated to preserving history and supporting education, health, and the arts. It was founded thanks to E. A. Ulzen's estate, believing education can lift people out of poverty. The museum showcases the history of the Black Dutchmen (Belanda Hitam), the relationship between Elmina, the Dutch, and the Ashanti Empire, and the Ulzen family history. Located on the Accra-Takoradi Highway, the museum is part of Java House, which also includes a guesthouse and the offices of The Edward A. Ulzen Memorial Foundation. The guesthouse provides affordable lodging, especially for healthcare volunteers. The museum features military artifacts, cultural items from Indonesia, and photographs. Special exhibits and collaborations with other museums keep the displays interesting. For more information or to book a guided tour, visit their website at (eaumf.org).
